FREE Half day seminar. Designed to give an overview
of self-employment and what is involved.

BEP (Business Enterprise Programme)

FREE 3 DAY Course or 5 evening course every month,
for people in N.Staffordshire.
This covers the essentials of book-keeping, marketing
and preparing a business plan.
Essential for every start-up new business.

E-Business Course (1 day every month)
Free to people in the North Staffs area, covering selling via the web.

Health & Safety, Book-keeping and Marketing courses
Run each month to cover essentials of running a business. Particularly relevant to people already trading.

New Deal (Various options depending on age) (click for further info)
If you are in receipt of unemployment benefits or incapacity benefits or are a lone parent and interested in self-employment this scheme is designed for you. Eligibility needs to be checked with Jobcentre Plus. Click here to visit the Jobcentre Plus website.

Early Entry To Enterprise
For people in Stoke on Trent area and North Staffs Regeneration Zone area who have been unemployed up to 12 months and who are prepared to sign off benefits. We have a £72 weekly allowance for 13 weeks and ongoing training and support whilst clients run their business full-time.

NVQ 2 and 3 (click for further info)
We currently offer Business NVQs to level 2 and 3. These are designed to go into more detail on business planning, regulations, funding etc and take around 6 months to complete. They both have a recognised national qualification awarded on successful assessment of a portfolio of evidence.
